Course Synopsis

Nullspace Certified Trainer and Nullspace Certified Master Trainer are two certification programmes offered by Nullspace for adult robotics learners and professional development. Through the training programme, participants will learn how to use the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 platform to plan, design, and deliver an engaging robotics class. An 80% pass is required for the hands-on assessment at the end of the course to ascertain that recipients of the certification has the necessary technical proficiency to teach and troubleshoot common difficulties faced by students.

This training programme is developed by Nullspace, and backed by our years of conducting robotics training in schools, and at our own enrichment centres in Singapore and Malaysia. More about our history here.

Pre-requisites: NA
Target Group: Teachers, Educators, STEM Advocates
Certificate Requirements: 80% score for hands-on assessment exam
Learning Objectives:

  • Educators to understand the capabilities of LEGO® Mindstorms EV3 Robotics system and how to effectively use it in an educational context.
  • Educators to have a hands-on experience building and programming LEGO® robots to accomplish problem-based mission objectives.
  • Educators to gain familiarity in troubleshooting and debugging common issues faced by students.

Nullspace Certified Master Trainer ™

in LEGO Mindstorms EV3

Adult Robotics Class

Duration of Programme: 16 hours
Pre-requisites: Nullspace Certified Trainer, or 1 year relevant experience in coaching/teaching LEGO Mindstorms EV3
Target Group: Teachers, Educators, STEM Advocates
Certificate Requirements: 80% score for hands-on assessment exam
Learning Objectives:

  • Educators to understand the capabilities of LEGO® Mindstorms EV3 Robotics system and how to effectively use it in an educational context.
  • Educators to have a hands-on experience building and programming LEGO® robots to accomplish problem-based mission objectives.
  • Educators to be able to plan, design and conduct LEGO® Robotics curriculum for use in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) classroom learning
